Covered timber deck looking out to the shaded play lawn and slide

This play space was part of an exciting new build on a sunken site with imposing retaining walls. The design approach sought to utilise these site constraints with level changes, spatial divisions and planting created a sunken oasis of learning and play. The space is carefully zoned with active play areas, productive gardens, passive nooks, gross motor elements and an atelier.
