The shipwreck sandpit and timber structures at Lane Cove West

This project delivers a successful blend of imagination, functionality and robust construction. The shipwreck theme forms the centrepiece, with a generous sandpit area surrounded by timber and stone elements that invite creative play. Seating integrated into the retaining walls offers spaces for rest, supervision, or social interaction, while sensory play features engage students through texture, sound, and movement. Planting and soft landscaping soften the play environment and help create a welcoming, nature-connected setting.
