Calm and Motion: a shaded pergola with hammocks beside the movement circuit

The Calm and Motion Playspace has been thoughtfully designed to support the diverse physical, sensory and emotional needs of primary school students by balancing active movement with opportunities for quiet retreat. A connected gross motor circuit encourages children to develop balance, coordination, strength and confidence through self-directed play.

Complementing the active play experiences is a dedicated regulation space that promotes wellbeing and imaginative play. Inviting spaces to rest, connect and engage at their own pace encourage children to self-regulate, build social connections and enjoy moments of quiet reflection. Natural planting, shaded seating and calming play spaces create a welcoming environment that supports inclusive play and positive wellbeing for all students.

Your Project Planner lets you save and compare Playform environments as you browse. Submit your Project Brief once you’ve built your shortlist.
