Mercy College

Urban Landscape Projects was approached by Mercy College to upgrade an existing asphalt playground. The brief was to enhance the school’s frontage and identity, maximise seating areas for small groups and outdoor classes and to soften the environment with planting and natural materials. Dealing with stormwater drainage issues and the level changes throughout the site was another important consideration. Through the use of timber decking we were able to create a series of level seating areas combined with attractive border planting.

The new outdoor space transformed the way the students use the outdoor environment and has become a valued extension of the classroom.
